Hello, I’m Elias Dummer.

I am a Christian, dad, musician, writer and all-around nerd. I’m sure there are more applicable adjectives, but I suspect that they’re best applied by others or not at all. I’m the frontman in a worship band called The City Harmonic, the Director of Worship at The Village UMC in Nashville and Principal Creative at Rockfirm, a small and flexible marketing agency. Given that my wife and I have 5 kids, all of this is exactly as crazy as it sounds.

I’m generally a pretty passionate guy. Topics typically include Jesus, the Church, unity in the Church, culture, and ideas–as well as songwriting and leading worship–and all of the ways these things intersect and collide. Writing about my perspective on these things has given me the opportunity to be a contributor at Worshiptogether.com, Worship Leader Magazine, and Huffington Post, as well as a few more outlets.

Originally from Hamilton, Ontario, my wife, five kids, and our giant dog now live in Nashville, TN.
